Yesterday in our first week of the Conscious Business Class one of the first things we did was a treasure map.

All of the participants are already successful and accomplished. Yes we all have dreams that seems bigger than our life; how can we take the dream or vision that is in our heart and move it forward into reality?

Treasure or Vision Mapping is one way.

There are many ideas, and no real right or wrong way to do a treasure map. The key is to have it come from your heart, or your soul, highest self, sub-conscious - but not from your mind.

You’ve got a dream, a little flicker of what could be for your life sitting deep inside you somewhere. Then you bring it up to the surface and the mind takes over. You know that mind. It’s very helpful sometimes but it sure can be a real bummer:

How could I possibly get my next book published?How could I even write a publishable book?

When will I have the time to travel to Asia?

I’ll never have the money to take to Skiing in Switzerland.

My body isn’t good enough to learn to Tango.

The process of doing a treasure map keeps that naggy naysayer mind out of our dream and clearly shows us steps we can take to move toward our dream.

If you watched the video on treasure mapping you can hear CK at the end saying WHY WHY WHY? During the ‘ripping stage’ CK wasn’t sure why she was pulling out certain images. Yet at the end of the mapping she looked and was delighted to find everything she wanted in a perfect life represented on her board - with no thought or planning involved.

Things to remember when making your treasure map:

Don’t think about it

Go fast, very fast so your mind doesn’t engage.

Choose from a variety of magazines and newspapers. Don’t limit yourself to only travel mags or business mags, even if you think that is what your map will be about.

Allow yourself to be surprised and delighted by what shows up.

Journal on paper about the finished map asking yourself questions:

What do I love about my map?

What surprised me most about the map?

I feel___ .

What a Treasure Map is Not:

Your treasure map is not a planned vision map like shown in The Secret. In the process of doing a vision map, (which I’ll cover later), you choose carefully what goes on your board so the finished vision map holds the intention of your dream or what you would like to manifest in your life.

A Treasure Map is a search, a discovery, of things buried in your heart that you may not be aware of.

A Vision Map is the next step to help you align your intention with your dreams.
